What is new for the 2020 Kia Sorento?
Kia is never one to rest on their accomplishments. That’s why nearly every vehicle is seeing some improvements for 2020 even without major changes. The 2020 Sorento is certainly benefiting from many improvements for the new model year. What is new for the 2020 Kia Sorento? We can tell you all about it!
Exterior changes to the 2020 Sorento
Though the 2020 Sorento is staying largely the same outside of some trim level shifts and simplifications, the outside has changed slightly. In both the front and the rear, the bumpers have been re-sculpted. Most of the lighting including the headlights, fog lights, and taillights have also been updated and improved.
Trim level lineup for the 2020 Sorento
Usually, Kia has very simple trim level lineups, but the Sorento could get a little complicated in 2019. Kia has improved that immensely by streamlining the trim levels while still keeping them packed with features.
For 2020, the top SXL trim and the EX Sport trim are gone. The EX is also its own trim rather than being a confusing option package. The revised lineup starts with the L still and goes up with the LX, S, EX, and the top SX trim.

What 2020 Sorento trims get a V6?
In the past, the LX was available with both the standard 2.4-liter 4-cylinder as well as the V6, but to make things simpler again, the LX will now only be available with the four-cylinder engine. Starting with the S on up through the SX the Sorento will come standard with the V6.
New features of the 2020 Sorento S
For 2020, the S trim is inheriting a lot of things that were available on the LX trim, but now they will be standard on the S. These features include black roof rails, 19-inch alloy wheels, push-button start, and forward collision avoidance.
New features of the 2020 Sorento SX
The SX trim will be getting new features for 2020 too. This top trim will now come standard with the Kia surround view monitor that allows for a 360-degree view of your Sorento’s surroundings. This trim also adds power-folding mirrors and an improved navigation system.
