What makes the Forte a great compact option?
In all, there are six trim levels for the 2020 Forte. The lineup starts with the FE and goes up with the LXS, GT-Line, and EX before topping out with the GT and the GT Manual. Though the FE is the base trim, it still includes a lot of standard features including many of the options that we mentioned above such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and even lane keeping technology.
That standard engine supplies an ample 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. With the intelligent continuously variable transmission (IVT), you can get up to 31-city mpg and 41-highway mpg. Not only will this car save you money with its price, but it will save you money at the pumps.
The GT and GT Manual trims are designed for performance. They put the 1.6-liter turbocharged engine under the hood which can generate up to 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque, and they route the exhaust through a sport tuned exhaust system for a wonderful engine note. With the dual-clutch automatic transmission, the GT trim can get up to 27-city and 35-highway mpg. The GT Manual trim gives you the 6-speed manual transmission, and you can still get up to 25-city and 32-highway mpg.
