Late last year, Kia announced 2 new EV models that were being developed. The first was an updated version of the Kia Soul EV, altered heavily due to the redesigned 2020 Kia Soul model. The second was the Kia Niro EV, joining the ranks of the standard Niro hybrid and the Niro Plug-In Hybrid model.

Employing the same electrical system, the 2020 Kia Soul EV and the 2019 Kia Niro EV are almost identical in their application of power, speed, charging time, and rated fuel economy equivalent (mpge). That means the big differences between the models will be in terms of build.
Although not all of the information has yet been released for the 2020 Kia Soul EV, it will most likely have a higher maximum cargo capacity and a lower starting MSRP when compared to the 2019 Kia Niro EV.
On the other hand, the 2019 Kia Niro EV will have more cabin space for a more comfortable passenger experience.
